April 27, 2015~"Never Lose Faith in Your Father in Heaven who Loves You More than You can Comprehend"~Jeffery R. Holland

1.So are you leaving Acajutla this week or staying put?
Not sure...I find out tonight but more than likely I'm gone

Haha Yeah Elder Ruiz is pretty young but all latinos look younger than they really are!

Well I don't even know how to describe this week guys.....the sealing was one, if not the best experience of my mission. It was so cool to see them again but not only that but see how far they have come! Haha other missionaries were there because them or their comps had known the family even Elder Paulson was there haha because someone in his zone knew the family and they were on interchanges haha! But the whole time in the temple I felt so good! Sorry I suck at describing this but you can't put it into words! In the celestial room they told me to come sit by them and when I did the Dad points to me and says "culpable" meaning guilty haha you know I don't cry but that made me as close to crying as I could. Never did I imagine what impact i had made and how happy i am that i decided to serve a mission. Then the dad said i still cant believe how you changed my wife cuz she was a big Catholic but like she had told me before there was something about me and Stin that was special and that touched me. After we entered the sealing room and i got to see almost everyone from Layco again! i was so happy and to see everyone! then to see the sealing i now understand what the whole sealing power is and you can feel it, it is something stronger than i had ever felt before. Everyone was crying but i couldnt help but smile the whole time cuz i felt so happy! to see this was an experience i dont think i will fully be able to describe especially over email but i will have to tell in person more. After the sealing to have the mom look me in the eyes and tell me "gracias"....i cant tell you another time someone has told me something so sincere! Im sorry this makes no sense haha ive jumped around so much but just know i love this gospel, Christs gospel, that FAMILIES ARE FOREVER so cliche but true. i now have a testimony of this. I love you guys and will explain more in person but also shoutout to Stin for being the man and taking the sacrifice, i love and respect him cuz hes done what i probably would whine about. Love you mom as well! Lata!

April 20, 2015~"Its Not About Being the Best, It's About Being Better than You were Yesterday"

1. Is the chapel there a regular building?  and does it have a font?
yeah it is a big building and has a font

2. So will you head back to El Salv the next transfer then?
funny story....

So just to start off ...I am now in El Salvs woo wooooooo!! haha I got emergency changed and kinda knew it was gonna happen. So a while back I heard that the family me and Stin baptized were gonna go get sealed in the temple April 25th and I realized how close that would be to changes and couldn't live thinking I would miss that opportunity to go through with them just by a few days! So what did i do? Of course I'm going down swinging and called up Pres.  He told me if I could confirm everything he would see what he could do. Next thing you know I'm here in El Salvador hahaha! I left Friday.  It was really sad leaving too because I love Belize and the culture there...I will go back though thats for sure! Belizian Pride!!!! I just hope I don't lose my kriol! Now I am in Acajutla the beach again!!! haha I have now hit up all the beaches in my mission... just beach bummin it! I will probably only be here till changes so I'm just living out of my suitcase but yeah crazy huh? :) I'm keeping everyone on their toes :) so this Saturday the 25th I will be going to a sealing...I'm so stoked!! I also got to call Stin before I left and let him know because he will be staying in Belize... he was a little mad at me hahah not really but it is possible that I won't see him till he ends his mission.  Anyways thats the rundown for now... nothing else too new hahah. My new comp is Elder Ruiz from Nicaragua.   I miss Elder Hale... he was a super chill guy and wish him the best! Well thats all I got love you all and mama! woo woo!

April 13, 2015~ "Many Things are Good, Many are Important, but only Few are Essential"

1. Baptisms this week?
and confirmed!

2. Do you have cool people in your District?  How many?
Yeah...I just have 4 in my district~ Elder Ewles from Florida and Elder Melendez from Costa Rica ...he has really good English!

3.  What do you mean  you are getting tired of the email thing?  You don't like emailing us anymore?
haha Mom I would rather just talk to people in person now!!!

4. Have you talked with Pres. lately...like interviews or anything?
Yup this past week I did....I think you know these things already ...who you talking to?!

5. Are there Couple Missionaries there in Belize City with you guys?
Yeah there are... they are named the Tagues... they are super cool they are over Belize City Zone which includes San Pedro so I already knew them.

6. What is your apartment/house like there?
The house is nice just lacks an oven and AC hahahaa ...I was used to that stuff!

Thanks for the article.... it was super cool to read...Man I'm proud of him! Nice to hear they won the series against Layton too woo woo... too bad they couldn't sweep them but don't matta! Tell Ryan to keep it up and just work hard and party hard! haha ....no one ever writes me anymore... everyone too cool for me now?!
I LOVE IT! Dad getting heated? man I missed it!!!!!!!! thats awesome haha... sorry I'm not the best influence am I? haha
Tell Stock to keep going in b-ball ...that is sick he has more potential than any of us did! Anyways keep everyone focused so they can play good.

As for my week it was a really really good one! We were able to have the baptisms and they could be really solid in the church! We are hoping to baptize her son and daughter this Saturday actually so we'll see what happens! We also were able to have 10 investigators in church and the place is just booming! Now comes the bad news...I think you jinxed me mom when you asked me about pupusas but I'm headed back to El Salvador... thats what Pres told me in my interview. We had a good talk as always and yeah he kinda drilled it in my head I was going back haha then he asked me if I had anything and I just told him..."well just get me a good seat on the plane then" hahaha. But yeah so maybe the end of the month I don't know when I'll be going back! I'm sad just because I do love the city, my comp because we work hard and are doing work!, and wish I could have more time here.  I really do love the people here! Sorry my emails get worse and worse...I'm still doing great and loving life and having good experiences just done with the whole typing thing haha ...you guys will hear all about it in person probably more than you want to anyways so yeah have a good week, love life and yeah Love you mom!

April 6, 2015~"God Invites All His Children to Obtain his Help to Overcome and Endure the Challenges of this Life"

1.  Have you learned how to make Pupusas so when you come home you can make them for us?
I know how to but you can't get all of the ingredients they use there in the states...I can do my best though....I haven't seen a pupusa in awhile

2.  Did the baptisms happen?
No they got rescheduled to this Saturday because Monica's daughter wasn't gonna be there.. no biggie

3.  So tell me what Belize City is like...besides that its crazy.  Are there fast food places?  I just want to get a glimpse of what it is like compared to the other places you have been in.
Fast food is fried chicken and fried rice... there is no such thing as fast food restaurants that you guys know like Wendy's... they don't exist here. There are a lot of people almost all black no latino people pretty much but I love black people!! :) It is a busy busy place and everyone blasts their music... it is really loud and crazy haha....can't really describe it

4.  Did you get some to come to Conference?  How was the attendance? What was your favorite message from it?
Monica came and also some others came as well as a random guy showed up who lives in our area. we didn't take attendance though. My favorite message was Elder Holland's or Uchtdorfs right after... they killed it!

Well conference was amazing as expected! I really hope everyone listened to the messages and were able to remember what Jesus did for us...what blessed people we are to know the things we do!!!! I loved the talk about God's grace, how his out streched hand represents his love and grace but we also need to reach for it which represents obedience and doing good works. Also I loved Elder Holland's talk about how we could never make it without Christ! Easter is a wonderful holiday even if here in Belize everything shuts down from Friday to Monday haha... almost no places are open!

I also went on interchanges this week with my ZL Elder Shirley... He is from Farmington I think? or somewhere around there.  He went to Viewmont. It was really fun and we met some crazy peeps, and even saw a croc!

Sorry my emails are now getting really lame but I'm kinda getting tired of the whole email thing to be honest haha.... it will be good to talk in person.   Everyone who didn't see all of conference GO SEE IT NOW! It really can and will make that first change in your life you need or continue the progress you are already making. We should have a baptism this week so everyone pray for Monica, Lesliann, and Jamaal! Love all of you and ma!

March 30, 2015 ~"A Beautiful Heart can Bring Things into your Life that all the Money in the World Couldn't Obtain"

1. You said that you guys were opening up the area you are in...so you are in a new area?
No not really. I'm in the area Purser ended in

2. Turtle and turtle eggs huh?  What did it taste like?  Doesn't sound very appetizing and Kaelyn was heartbroken being the animal lover she is haha!
It wasn't bad i'll admit... just tasted like meat? haha I don't know how to describe it! the egg tasted like eggs, just a little more salty.

3. So in this new area, what is the attendance like for church?
Well all the missionaries in Belize City (14) go to church ..so we get attendances of like 130-160

Thats so sick about Ryan!!! Man I'm missing stuff finally! Glad to hear they are doing good though and reppin it... hopefully this is just a glimpse of next years season! haha

My week was another week of just getting to know more people and trying to find news. I can't say hi to Eden because she went back to the island for Easter...I'm mad at her hahaha. Umm we did have 9 investigators in church which was good and are hoping that we can get our 3 Baptisms this Sunday so if you could help us out with some prayers!! :) Their names are Monica Reyes, her son Jamaal, and her niece Lesliann. I'm so excited for conference I can't even explain it!

Fun experience this week is that we were biking in an alley and it was pouring rain and the alley was flooded, so we're on our bikes and I see something moving in the water 6 ft in front of me and it is a huge huge boa constrictor! I freaked out hahah ...it was coming right at me when some guy came out of nowhere and whapped it on the head and killed it. I wanted to take a picture but it was raining and I didn't want to ruin my camera but man it was something else! Thats all I kinda got...I hope everyone has a good Easter Love you Mom and peeps!!!

March 23, 2015~"Courage is what it takes to Stand Up and Speak; Courage is also what it takes to Sit Down and Listen"

1.  So where did you end up?  You stay in Belize?
Yes,I'm still in Belize...I am in Belize City

2.  Who is your new comp?  Where is he from?  How long has he been out?
My new comp is Elder Hale from Boise Idaho and he has been out like 18 months

I know...I'm super grateful for not just the island but my whole mission! Now being in Belize City which is like the 2nd best place you could be in the mission, I have had an awesome, blessed mission that lots of missionaries would die for! So I am loving it still and am happy again though I do still miss the island and all the people there haha but that is something I don't think will ever go away!

Thats sick about Ryan...I sometimes wonder if that is still the idiot little brother I have or not hahaah.

Also sounds like a chill bishopric...I'm glad when I get back there will be good leadership! plus we live close by every single one of them haha!

So I don't have too much to say about my week. It was a hard working week! Me and Elder Hale are opening this area so we are still trying to get to know everything and everyone. On top of that I'm DL again NOOO! but my district is super cool so don't matter! The concrete jungle (Belize City) is a crazy place... definitely my kind of place haha.  There is a lot more kriol and black people and almost zero spanish. I am still in the same zone so I get to see Elder Tojin every week and send stuff like letters back to my peeps there so I do like that. Also Eden moved back to her house here because she originally lives here and so I still get to visit her haha.. funny story and she is so happy I left but didn't really leave haha... what can I say she is my sista! Um I can't really think of too much more to say but I'm doing great and in a great place with another good comp. Elder Hale is really calm.  He kinda reminds me of dad.  He can joke just isn't as outspoken... definitely a good compliment to me. Well hope everything is good at home too! Oh and I ate turtle and turtle eggs and it was good!!! Love you Mom and peeps!

March 16, 2015~"Obedience is a Choice between our Limited Knowledge and God's Unlimited Knowledge"-L. Tom Perry

1.  Will Cristian get baptized at a later date?
nah he has no support even though his family are members.

2.  You mentioned the Staine family..How are they doing with everything?
they are still doing good

Well I am just going to...no I am not even going to apologize for this short email. Only thing I have to say is me and Paulson are leaving the island and I am not happy at all.  I love this place and people and have a big lesson I am learning now...looks like reality has hit...finally. Yes its true even E. Clev has his stuggles but don't worry I will get over it and I am just thankful for the opportunities I have had here.  I am blessed and a lot more than I should be so I can't complain... just this is gonna be a big pill to swallow....
But mark my words I will be back here asap when I get back.  I am for sure doing it...  Love you guys

Elder Cleverly met up with some tourists and they sent me these pictures and this message~ "I got to hear Elder Cleverly speak in sacrament today. What an amazing missionary...very inspiring message on hope/esperanza. It took extra effort to give a speech in both English and Spanish."
