February 17, 2014~ "To Testify is to Know and to Say, to be Converted is to Do and Become"

1. Have you met Elder Fonoimoana? Just wondering because his mom is in my facebook group and his father passed away several weeks ago and he stayed there to serve and I was impressed with his thoughts he sent his mom.  Sounds like a great Elder!
Yeah he came with me.  He is a way cool guy and dang that sucks.  I hope
to be comps with him someday because he is way chill...that is sad but a strong
dude

2. Has having the Elder Latinos living with you helped you with the language?
Nah... not really.  I haven't really had problems learning at the moment
to be honest but always improving

3. When you mentioned seeing a man on a motorcycle with an Orange Iguana, I expected you to have sent a picture of it.
Nah I was too slow...first time in my life...

4. How is Gaby and her mom doing with church?  Do they still have their callings?  I have spoken to Gaby through facebook when she posts pictures of you and Stin...and you guys are always eating!  haha!
They had been struggling to be honest but we had a good lesson
yesterday with them

5. About how many people attend church in your Branch?
Well it was like 70s 80s right now though 40s 50s

6. What have you learned from serving with Elder Smith (Stin)? or What have you learned from him?
Um I need more time to think about everything but one thing is
exact obedience.... having a friend as a comp you can't slack
and we have both learned that.

Seems like a better week this week.  I guess not too much to
comment on other than I always pray for Ryan and all you guys so
nothing to change really.

Well onto my week....

I will probably jump around a bunch because I don't know where to
start. First off and sadly is we were walking this week and twice we
saw this person feeding this dog that lives on the streets more food
than we get for lunch...Welcome to El Salv. After that I felt like we
should stop by Alcirias so we did and turns out that her sister who
lives right by her needed help opening her door because she was locked
out. So since I was tall enough to get to the window and with a broom
handle clicked the door open ...it was so hard haha and took awhile. Also I
couldn't do it because her dang sister is creepy and was holding me up to
the window by pushing my butt !! haha.
Also this week we found yet another new area that I never knew about
and had a lot more success. There we found a family!  Well
technically not a family because there is no dad but a lady named Reyna
her 2 daughters and her son. They are the nicest family...very receptive
and also came to church woooo!!!! Also the members did a great job
fellowshipping for once haha. During sacrament her daughter Sarai who
is 5 years old kept bugging her and she couldn't listen so I started
drawing pictures with her so she could pay attention.  It reminded me of
Sacraments at home ahha but her daughter is so cute and the sweetest
little girl. Also we found another young family who are receptive and
wanna know if the church is true. The wife Liticia had a way cool
story. She told us she was talking with one of her friends and her
friend told her about someone she knew that got baptized by these
young guys who were called Mormons. So Liticia was kinda thinking
about that and an hour later we randomly contacted their house...so
weird!!! Honestly being led by the Spirit! We also had a Multizona (multi-
zone conference) this week and talked about being instruments in the hands of God so
weird how everything connected this week. Also at the Multizona, since we are tight
with the AP's, we got picked to do a practice of putting a baptism fecha (date).
Hah Stin was way serious and explained everything. Then I came in and pulled out
my baptismal pictures and said like this guapo (handsome guy) you can be happy
(while showing the picture of Kae's baptism)  and Yes this is that same guapo (handsome guy)
I have experienced 2 up close baptisms... haha everyone especially Pres was laughing haha
You know I had to do me and they said we did great. After that one of the APs commented and
said "you guys have a really good companionship" and it got me thinking about
how good I do have it. I honestly feel like we can do miracles and take on whatever
like Alma and Amulek... its so awesome.

Well onto my last thing... about Gabriella and Alciria, they have been
slipping a bit... actually a lot... so we planned to stop by yesterday. When
we did there was a huge fight between her, her brother (an ex
missionary but he has his problems), her sister (menos activo (less active) that doesn't
want anything to do with the church but loves us), and her daughter
all arguing about how us missionaries haven't been helping them. Her brother
is a grumpy dude and really judgemental so there was a lot of yelling...
we decieded to leave and wait till they were done.  We then had a lesson with
Alciria and Gabriella. We said a lot of things and it was great.   I know
the Spirit was there because Gaby was crying and she never cries haha. I
talked about how I would lose my life to save a soul and as my very
first converts I want the best for them and know that what they are
doing isn't their best. You could really see a change in them and I know
they are doing their best. That is the trial in life though.. is enduring
to the end...a short phrase with a lot of meaning.
What I would like to leave you with is this ...that if you are here to save your
life you will lose it like God has said. I was thinking about this and couldn't sleep.
I kept thinking about my converts and can't live knowing and seeing them fall away
then I tried thinking its alright because I am on good ground so then I could sleep
but it still bugged me. I can honestly say I don't think I can be selfish anymore. I would rather
lose my life saving a soul and that is what I hope you guys feel too because
once you have that feeling you can never try and deny it. I love you guys and hope you
keep pushing on. Love you Mom.... keep everyone in line!!
Elder Clev

p.s we got new jerseys again better ones and cheaper too, jerseys here
are way cheap.  Also we made a jean tie for Prez for his bday tomorrow and we are stopping
by his house today

Grass! we found Grass!

February 10, 2014...."If You are Always trying to be Normal, You will Never Know How Amazing YOU Can Be"

1.   Tell me about the other 2 Elders that you have to share the apartment with.  Name, Where are they from? How are you getting along with them?
Um.. they are both latinos named Elder Gonzalez and Elder Jolon one from Columbia and one from Guate. They are good.  It just hard because one is brand new and the other came from the office.

2. What was the most AMAZING thing that happened this week?
Honestly nothing..This week was lame again. We did see this guy with an orange Iguana riding a bike which was weird.  I also got my hair cut by a gay today and it was awesome.   He massaged my head and I didn't even care haha.

3.  How many missionaries are you over in your District?
4

Yeah DL is not bad and now I am already starting to hear the rumors about ZL in a couple cambios...oh great...I feel like God gives me a heads up by having people drop hints... like that is what happened with trainer and with DL but its all good..I need the extra help. Elections really are like a tailgating party.  The thing is that something happened where no one won enough votes so they are having another votaciones next month ...great another day that we can't work...

I'm glad your enjoying the oven... maybe it will last longer too because we are all growing up and won't ruin AS MUCH stuff haha.  I know stuff probably gets broken. I miss the Olympics but i would rather miss these ones than the summer ones so its all good!   One thing I wanna try and do when I get home is not change as much.  I wanna have a good relationship with everyone and be able to help out where I can. I know it will be hard but thats why we have goals... not to accomplish them easily. But I remember the lectures about money haha... I will never say the words that ¨you were right¨ about me needing to earn more money before the Mish but I will say I probably should have haha...I still have my hard to budge pride! haha! Thats cool that the Superbowl was lame haha..In Wendys last week they were replaying it.  I wasn't interested at all and I didn't even have the temptation to watch. Thats cool about Ryan now he needs to do work... also sweet about Cloe.  I remember talking to her when we played tennis before I left and she said she wanted to go but I know things change so thats cool. That is nuts about Cass... she is not and won't ever be 18 to me haha. Glad Ryan got ordained next up Elder for him! woohoo! haha.
Onto my week...

To be honest this is going to be short. Nothing really happened... just pure hard work and not a lot of news. We have been working really hard and evaluating ourselves because we haven't had that baptism yet. Something though is that I don't wanna be a missionary that just baptizes... but one that does everything I'm supposed to. That is strengthening this Rama (Branch) not just adding to it. We have found a couple new families so we will see how those work out. Also we were teaching Guillermo again and I thought I had him. I went home the last time and studied everything I could.  I pulled out scripture after scripture and the spirit was there this time...I could feel it and knew I was teaching by it but just when I thought that he had got it...he would say he can't change. It came to the point where a voice told me its not our time. So right then I thanked him for everything and told him as Missionaries we help people especially those who wanna change. And our time is precious because its not ours... its the Lords. I told him that there are others out there and that we need the time to find them so we can't waste time with him if he understands everything, knows the consequences very clearly, knows he can't do this and have salvation and still not want to change. So we dropped him which was hard but he understood and I told him before we left.. remember what we taught you because one day you will need this advice.   It really was hard but I'm starting to get more experiences... not all of them are good but that's life for ya, you win some against Layton some crazy way, and you lose some against Syracuse even though you thought you should have and could have won.

Well that was my week.  I hope you guys enjoy the cake and ice cream this week as I might buy some too to celebrate haha... also its Valentines Day so tell Stock to stay away from the ladies...and let them come to him! haha kidding. Well love you Mom.  Hope you have a great week and the rest of the clan back at home! Till next week!

February 3, 2014... "Your life is your message to the world. ..Make it inspiring."

1. So that Elder that you met at the conference from the Santa Ana Mission,
Elder Thornton I think, you said he went to Northridge...did you know him?
Yeah I did a little. He is better friends with Stin

2. Do you still have your lunch made for you? What types of food do you make
for yourself when you make your food? Do you eat at members houses very
often?
Ya, um whatever I can find...lately smoothies with naranjas (oranges) mahonchos
or tiny fat bananas haha and they are freakin good. We eat
occasionally at members, not too much its lame

3. So you guys really did make ties out of Jeans?  Whose came up with that
idea and where did you get the jeans?
Yeah haha... Elder Paulson did it so we did too for cambios.  We bought
the jeans.. it was way cheap like 3 bucks haha

4.  With splitting your area, do you have to share your apartment?
Yeah its stupid

5.  How is Elder Smith?  Is he adjusting good?
He is doing good as ever and I think is adjusted now... everything is
all good as always

Sounds like a good week for you.. with the new oven and microwave.. now all it
needs is me and the house would be good haha just kidding. I'm glad you
finally got to bake cookies especially since I'm not there to make them
anymore but I know how much you always liked them the way you bake them
and that I never could do them that way ever. But as long as they
weren't like Dads its all good. That is cool you got to go do that
activity and had some time for yourself as you usually don't which I
don't know how you do it  haha.  You truly  are my example and hero to be able to
manage the kids you have haha, especially me. Glad to hear Ryan is
getting a start on things.  I love reading the Book of Mormon.  The things I love reading now
are gospel things, knowledge of it ..its so interesting. Yes, I'm interested in family
history too... its pretty interesting to be honest!

Sorry nothing much happened this week so this letter will be kinda
short but as for my week  I have gotten the hang of being a DL a little
bit.  Its different and what I have learned from it is like what Jesus
taught.. that the greatest of you all are to be the servants. I know
that through this leadership that I can change myself by helping
others.  Its being there for others and not worrying about yourself..
something you are always good at. Also a lot of praying for other
peoples needs and not my own as everyone's success is my own... Haha.
This week workwise though we tried helping Guillermo but it has turned
into a mess and I tried in the most convincing way to change his mind about his lifestyle...
for 2  hours.  The thing is though is that you know me that I don't budge
and it started getting a little heated so I stopped it. Our
relationship is still good with him though.  After we were all good but
I realized the Spirit wasn't there and it didn't matter how convincing I
am... that its the Spirit that converts. So this week that is going to be
my focus. Something else is... I learn more knowledge about the Gospel
because we never know it all... some scriptures I found about this are Mosiah
4:11-12  and Mosiah 18:26 and Alma 32:34. My challenge to all of you is to
read this and learn more about something.. as knowledge can bring
blessings as well or help to learn how to bring more blessings.
We found a couple more potentials but that is it for now.
They had elections this week... yesterday actually and they
are different here. They all vote in one day and its like a college
football game.  There are tents outside, people eating and making food..
really weird.   For church we only had sacrament then went home and we
could only meet with members for the day but that didn't matter because no one
was home anyways.  Everyone is out voting then they go out to
eat...sinners haha. So yeah we had to return even earlier too because of
the parties at night. Well I am surprised I didn't hear about your guys super
bowl party... we had ours haha not! Guillermo invited us over to watch...He was
probably the only Salvadoreño watching haha, but I had to take a part of
my heart out and decline haha.. it hurt.
Well that is it guys.  I hope you have a great week.  Love you Mom and thanks for
all you have done as I'm learning from the example you have given all my
life. Love you guys... keep it shaggy!
Elder Clev

Our superbowl party and my pick...sadly...

January 27, 2014...."Some People Succeed because they are Destined but most because They are Determined."...Elder Cleverly was made District Leader

1. Thats awesome that you and Stin got to sing haha...How did that go?
How was the conference?  Was it just for your mission or all the El Salvador missions?
AMAZING!  I'll explain below but it was for all the El Salvador missions

2.  So do you listen to the Ipod music?
Yeah all the time... sing and dancing duh!

3. What ever happened to the William that use to pirate movies?
I know he got a new job but then you couldn't find him? This isn't
the same one that was suppose to get baptized was it?
His work puts him in a hold so we haven't talked to him in awhile
but no its not the same one... this one is Guillermo haha... thats how we
distinguish them

4. Can you get ice cream or ice cream treats there? If so, is it like what we have here?
Oh yeah they have these things called choco conos...they are so good. They are
like drumsticks without the nuts but way good.  Also they have ice cream
parlors... so yeah it is good.We had a hookup there for awhile for 2
scoop cones for 50 cents and it had m&ms in the ice cream but that
ended...also they have popsicle things.  They sell smoothies on the
streets that are divine and snowcones with leche condensada which is
heaven! haha

Yeah we are starting on the process back for Guillermo because he is still
positive, so in time we will see what all goes down. But thanks for the
prayers. Haha yeah I always seem to give talks..and now in Spanish
looks like I will never find a way out haha.
I hope you guys are making the home a place of peace somewhat
without me especially haha but also do family history... freak Stin has
his whole family tree thing and I tried doing some this morning and
its way interesting!
Thats cool about Landon... I thought he had already left though but thats
good. Thats a bummer to hear about dance for Cass... it
sucks when the season finally ends and thats the whole shabang but its
gotta happen sooner or later. Thats cool about all the good grades.  I'm
proud everyone is following me now :) haha... maybe its because I'm not
banging their heads they can actually think for once haha but they will
always be dumb to me :) Tell Ryan to get that Eagle done and off his
back... its nice when its finally done, but what will he drive? that
awesome van we still have that I love so much? Also I wish I could go
out to eat... guess we´ll just have to save up for all the times I miss
haha. Thats good Northridge beat Syracuse.. you know I hate that stupid school
in everything haha.
Wow thanks for reminding me.. yeah I'm coming up on 6 months what the?!!?
Its gone by way fast... way fast...Looks like not taking me to Panda and spending that extra dollar for
me has given you enough money for new stuff haha! But thats nice...I'm
glad you finally can enjoy some nice new things because I know that makes
you happy!

Well now my exciting week......
So as you know this week was cambios (changes) and with cambios it always has
seemed to affect me... it feels like this time it did big time. So me and
Stin survived not separating... thank goodness because things happen and
sometimes trainers and trainees split up. But Elder Paulson is now
gone and Elder Ralphs my old zone leader is now in Belize.  Those guys
were my buds from the start... it sucks that they left but it had to
happen sometime. Well my DL got changed too.   He is now my ZL haha so we
had to get a new DL... well guess who it is? Of course...ME. I'm starting
to learn that God won't let me just relax haha... each 6 weeks he gives me
something new so that I'm always relying on him. Its so weird being a
Leader.  I am younger than all these other guys why am I the leader...I
haven't been out here that long! But it has taught me to serve even
more and care and make people's problems mine so I can help them.
Lets see... also our area split... well it was my decision as the leader to share
or split it and it was bugging me for a couple days because at first I
thought we could just share but my mind kept coming back to splitting
so I took the area I wanted haha. But in that area we have found some
new areas I never knew about and found a couple new potencials so we
will see how they go.
Also this week we had the opportunity to have Elder Cook come...Mom
it is so true what they say about Apostles... when they enter the room the
Spirit is right behind them... it was so awesome! It was also way cool
because we sang the special number and so we sat right behind Elder Cook. I
could have reached out and touched him if I wanted! He didn't shake
anyones hands except one...Elder Smith wizarded his way when he was
shaking Presidents hand... it was sweet!  I have taught him a lot haha! But
he talked about a lot of great stuff. One thing in particular is our
faith. He said something I love so much ..it was ¨If you have more faith
in your life you will have more success¨ ..it is so true and we can always
have more faith. That is my challenge for you guys this week is to pray
for more faith and act in that too.  We can have more success and
blessings in our life. It also helped me so much when he talked about when
he was called to the 12.  After he went up to his office and wept he
tried finding excuses on why he shouldn't be and that is how I felt being
called to a DL but he said it has helped his life so much. It
literally has brought peace to my heart. Also his wife talked of 5
things we can do everyday and I invite the family to do them. 1. Pray
morning and night 2. Read Scriptures 3. Attend our meetings especially
sacrament 4. Serve one another especially our families and 5. Always
focus on the temple and be worthy.

Well Mom that was my week... an interesting one to say the least haha.
But thanks for everything Mom.  I love you and  I am glad for everything
you have done for me.  I say that every week only because I don't ever want you
to forget it. I love you guys and keep up the good work...I'm expecting
more next time! haha Also I want some more pics of the fam... come on I
know its not that boring at home! Love you guys!

Also, I pick the Broncos to win the Super Bowl...You heard it from me!

Elder Clev

Look at our ties...Yes we made ties out of jeans for Cambios...They are sick... had to keep the style!

We found another friend from Northridge.  He is in the Santa Ana Mission and
has been out for 17 months

January 20, 2014.... "Strength Does Not Come from External Performance, Strength Comes from Internal Belief"

1. How was William's (Guillermo) baptism?
Read Below

2.  I am glad you got to have interview with Pres and Sis. Hintze...sounds
like the timing was right since you and Stin had been sick.  I am glad he
convinced you guys to take a day to rest and get better.
I am glad everything is better now.   I knew at some time you would probably
have that experience, everyone does. Do you think it was something you ate or drank?
Yeah it was probably what we ate but we switched cocineras (cooks) so its
all good probably because I eat everything too hah

3.Any new investigators you want to tell us about?
ummm not really unfortunately

4. Is this week transfers? I know if it is it doesn't effect you.
Yeah its sad all my peeps are leaving

5. At Church, do you have anything you do on a weekly basis like
teaching a lesson or giving a talk?
Way to jinx me

Wow I didn't think that my letters would mean that much..I thought I was
the stupid older brother they all hated haha.  I was starting to grow
accustomed to that title haha! But thats sweet.. Im glad I can show them
where and what they need to be doing after high school. Dang that fire
is raging... sounds like quite the news.. how did that happen? Yeah I'm super
bummed I can't go to that region thing...(.there actually might be a
little truth to that sentence just so you know!) Ooooo some Honey
Walnut Shrimp.. what I would do just to get a whiff of that stuff... Panda
has gotta be going out of business without me.. I'm sure they are scrappin
for something! So onto my shindig...

So let me just get this outta the way.. we didn't baptize and it sucked.
So we had the interview for him..I didn't go, Elder Smith went with my
District Leader to do it while I chilled with his comp. Everything was
gonna be fine... we already went through the questions the day before
with him just to make sure and yeah. Well when they came back all
looked good and I asked for his paperwork and Elder Martinez my district
leader gave it back blank and said he would explain later. I ended up just
hearing what happened from Guillermo himself. He has some things he needs
to take care of and I straight up told him what he needs to do now because
he still wants to be baptized.  It so hard dealing with this stuff.  People
make mistakes I know that... as I have made them myself.   What I told him
and what I want everyone to know is sin isn't easy... repentence isn't easy but
its worth it. Salvation is easy but its sin that makes it hard. The
longer you are in it the harder it is.  I invite all you guys to pray for
this guy as I love him as my own blood. People aren't perfect and
they make mistakes... thats how life goes. But the difference is we can
correct and learn from our mistakes. Simple and true.

Other things! I went on interchanges and met this guy who was the most
humble guy I have ever met. His house is as big as half of our bathroom
at home and I had to bend over to enter. This guy just got baptized
and when I entered his house instantly the spirit was there. This is
how our houses should be.. nothing less. Another thing I learned this
week is to know thyself, control thyself, and give thyself. Like
Peyton Manning, he knows he is not the fastest or strongest but he is one
of the best, still he knows himself. Also David in the Bible in 1
Samuel 17:45-47 knows who he is.

Lets see what else... oh we have an Apostle coming this Jueves!!!! and
guess who two of the 14 people singing will be when he comes!!! Yeah me and
Stin woot woot! Haha scary but siiickk!  Also I had to give a talk yesterday at church
and talked about how we teach and tell people how the gospel makes and brings us
happiness but we sometimes don't show it so guys be happy we have a plan for us!

The Wizards of Layco are being broken up... Elder Ralphs and Elder Paulson
are leaving....but I am going to cambios (changes) hahaha not to change but to
chill because there is singing practice after and we are the only ones not
changing that are singing so we have to go.. also my area is getting
split for sure.  This time my hook ups have shown me the email from
Pres...dang.. we will see how this goes.

We joined the backpack crew and bought 4 buck matching
backpacks haha...Mom the sidebag sucks... its hard to get around on crowded
buses and a backpack is sooo much easier... also lighter on the shoulders
and doesn't make black marks on my shirt like the bag did. I still have
the bag but yeah. It would actually be nice if you sent me like 30 bucks for
a sweet native looking backpack from here that will last longer because
this pack will probably only last a couple months.

Here is a picture of Scary clowns from here...clowns aren't funny but latino
clowns are even worse..But you knew I wouldn't go two weeks sin los fotos!
(without sending photos) Love ya mom

The last couple things are ..I love this.. I found out....the supreme reward
to struggle is strength, the pursuit of easy things makes men weak. Do
work and do what is hard and needs to be done. Love you guys and keep it
shaggy out there! Also tell Thanks to Courtney and her family, Grandpa
Clev, and the Jacos for the letters! Mom thanks especially.. I love you!

January 13, 2014...."Be Happy With What You Have While Working For What You Want"

1.   Will there still be a baptism this week?  How old is the William
that you talked about that is suppose to have the baptism this week?
So far yes! he is 53

2.  What did you guys do for P-Day last week?
We did the usual finally and played futbol... yeah I scored the most
goals as usual haha

3.  Fireworks? Really?  I can't believe you tried buying them.
Isn't that against the mission rules?  How much do they cost?
Um I have no idea to be honest, but they were like 50 cents each or something

4. Have you been getting the DearElders that I have been sending?
Yes...Thank you!

5. What has been your favorite thing so far about being a Missionary?
Hmmm my favorite thing? Probably just having the stress to live the
higher law.  I love that even if I  do something not bad at all but it isn't
in tune with what I should do I always repent and it has gotten me in a
routine of really praying and it is something that I will probably do the
rest of my life. I love learning things now... I  probably will till I die
and making people truly happy (duh)

Yeah the package still lives! haha.   We are having a fun time everyday.
Its just gonna suck when its over...the t-shirt thing was funny but
its way too big so  I will probably not keep it. I'm glad you guys
finally got that stuff I sent.  Sorry about the trouble it probably
brought you guys in having to deal with all these people haha. I'm glad
everyone liked the letters.. sorry they were kinda crap and  I will be
honest, I had so much to say in yours but couldn't really say it all and
felt like I didn't.

About your guys week....
Wow that is a shock to say the least...I'm sad I never got to really
thank him for the things that he did for me and us and his support for
my mission. One thing for sure though is we know he was good and did
all the right things and I have no doubt where he is now, enjoying life
after life. That must have been nice too to see your side of the family
again. I'm sure it was hard on Kae though.  She always thought
of him as her other grandpa and who didn't... he was like our other one.
Now you just need to teach Kae the Plan of Salvation because that is what
brings us comfort and why this gospel is so wonderful because not only
does it bring happiness but peace as well to our hearts.
Its alright to hear about bad news.  I knew every week of my mission
wouldn't be sunshine and roses but its all good... things happen. And yeah
get with Stins mom because he is pretty much our family now... you have a new
son! The machete is sweet and I might get one more before I boogie
here.
Well onto my week! First of all I decided I have been slacking on my
letters to you so I have decided to spend more time on this like I
should have been.
My week wasn't the best. William or Guillermo as his Spanish name is
came to church like he needed to but he almost didn't because he was asleep.
We went by and woke him up whew! We worked out with him in a gym
Saturday morning... it was so fun and nice too.  I really miss doing that
and might have to get a gym membership when I get back haha. But the
next day we were so sore and still are but its all fun.  We did find
out we can't go again because gyms are prohibited on the mish because girls are
there or something idk. Also this week on Martes we had interviews with
Pres and his wife.  It was so nice to talk to them because they are
chili beans. Also that day me and Stin had been sick with the poops
since Friday and it hadn't passed and got worse.  We got
dehydrated because we didn't drink water after all the times in the
bathroom.... So we were dead that day.  I didn't feel like I could work but
then convinced myself we were going to but after talking to Hintzes
and Elder Paulson that day, they convinced me to take the day off...that it
would be better so we did and it sucked. I now hate sitting around.  It
isn't fun at all... even if I'm hurting...I wanna work. But we are all good
now.  It did throw me off my working routine this week so it
wasn't as good as it should have been. That night I woke up and felt like
I had a hangover (not that I really know what that feels like) but
what I guess those feel like and was like there is no way we will work
tomorrow either, but in the morning I felt great and good as new! So
really that was our week.  Sorry I don't have pictures this week.  The
pictures would have all been in the bano (bathroom) haha. Oh we did find these cool
people, the guy who gave me his shirt and they are way receptive haha.  When we
walked in their home which was way nice, they had ESPN on! It took so
much for me to ask him to shut it off... especially when they were
showing NFL highlights of the past week....dang mish life sucks! haha
just kidding, but I love this Mission I am doing. I really can truly feel
a tiny bit of how Jesus felt when he preached on the earth. As hard as
it is there is a joy and goal in doing it and that is what makes it
all worth it. Thanks for all the support guys... especially you Mom! Love
you guys and keep being spiritual as its the best feeling we can have
on this earth!  Love you mom!

January 6, 2014...Still enjoying the Missionary Life

1. Did you do your roof/oreo milkshake event?  You need to be careful being on the roof...thats how people get electrocuted.
Uh yeah... you know we wouldn't just bail on that! Don't worry we´re fine

2.  How is the training going with "Stin"?
Its going good!  His Spanish is getting better and its going by way
too fast!

3.  Have you given away any of the CTR rings?
Yeah 3 of them

4.  How often do you get to see Pres. Hintze?
Um like 3 or 4 times a month... idk depends on how many reuniones we have

Sounds like a fun New Years but also kinda boring.  I remember after
Christmas Break its really slow and nothing happens. Thats sweet about
Dave.   That's lame I miss the Olympics but oh well summer is
still better for sure! Things are going good... so now onto my week!

So this week was way good! First we met with William and talked with
him as usual and put down a baptismal fecha so now we have a baptism
for the 16th of this month yeah!!! We were supposed to work out with
him in the morning but we had to cancel because we had Stins newbie
meeting and I was so bummed! We also had 3 other citas that morning
and had to cancel with all of them.   I was pretty mad. But all is well.
At the meeting we talked to Hermana Hintze and she asked how we were
doing and how much fun we were having haha.  She said she also saw some
of the pics you put on facebook.   It was really helpful.  She said my
Spanish was getting really good and that Elder Smiths is good too...
thats why they felt comfortable with me training a gringo. Also she
talked to us about how her son was comps with one of his friends but
now they are done and how much it sucked after... haha I don't want changes
to happen again even though I still have a lot of time with him! We
are starting to get our mojo down and its getting way fun... where we
both can teach and have fun and its awesome! Another thing... at church
yesterday a guy showed up... his girl I guess just left on a mish in our
branch and he was like yeah I wanna be a member so we might have 2
baptisms already woooo!   Also on New Years you know we bought
sparkling cider and oreo milkshakes and partied again haha.. it was way
fun and now there is no more holidays for a while.  We also tried
buying fireworks and our Branch President drove by.  Before  he drove by
I was like watch something is gonna happen ahah! but he was chill with it.  He
just said let someone give them to you, don't buy them. Other than that me
and Stin have been doing work here!   Sorry this is short.. really not much
happened but always having fun. This guy gave me his Detroit Tigers shirt too
because I said I liked it, but its huge on me because the guy is massive.. not fat but
just big.  He just took it off and was like nope your having it.  It was so weird but gypsy too!
Well I hope all is good there...Love you guys...Know I'm as good as ever! Love you mom!
